Before our second son was born we had planned to call him David Andrew and that is what we told the nurses when they asked. After our first son Jonathan saw him, in his sweet, innocent, 2 year old mind he had planned to call him Andrew. Knowing the confusion this might bring to our son with Down Syndrome we had the nurses change the name to Andrew David instead. Now, today, after Andrew heard the story he blames Jonathan for being named Andrew instead of David and has made a fuss that about his name. The short moral to this story is, it doesn't matter what the child is named as long as she or he is loved. Make the name important to the family and he or she will always enjoy it.
